Sabato scorso l’amico mio è riuscito a farmi riprendere in mano la chitarra dopo tanto tempo. E detta così suona come se io fossi un vecchio musicista che si era ritirato ed è tornato a imbracciare lo strumento. Beh no. Sono sempre stato e continuo a essere una gran pippa (e in effetti una cosa positiva è che suono esattamente come allora, male, non sono arrugginito perché non c’era un cazzo da arrugginire).
Il punto è che io e il mio amico facciamo sempre le stesse canzoni, un po’ perché io sono limitato e se vedo un bemolle rifiuto e vado avanti (un po’ molto per questo, a dirla tutta), un po’ perché ci piacciono alcune cose e, semplicemente, dobbiamo farle.
Una piacevole novità di sabato è stata Over my shoulder di Mike and the Mechanics (la band di Mike Rutherford dei Genesis), pezzo strepitoso dei favolosi anni Novanta che io e il mio compare abbiamo sempre adorato ma che a mia memoria non avevamo mai eseguito canzoniere – cartaceo o digitale – alla mano. E’ stato un bel momento, l’interpretazione è stata superba e alla fine della prima strofa eravamo già isolati dal resto della compagnia. Va così, sempre, c’è poco da fare.
